现在市场上供应的沙发主要有纺织面料（俗称布艺）沙发、人造革沙发和皮革沙发等品种。选购时应从以下几个方面考虑。
一、沙发的外形质量要求。沙发的外型应饱满匀称、高低大小适当，面料无明显色差，有条、格等花形的面料图案应相应对称。面料无破损、污渍、跳针等疵点。缝线无跳针或浮线。外露泡钉应排列整齐、无松动敲扁脱漆等缺陷。

三、沙发的结构强度。选购时可以手摇沙发扶手、靠背无摇晃松动感或响声，用手摸沙发的座、背面部位，用力各揿压2～3次，手感平整，无弹簧摩擦声，并凭揿压力的感觉，估计沙发座面是否持久承受人体的压力。
